Hunter enjoys his naps and so does Mama some days! It's great because he still takes a morning and afternoon nap and normally I do try to lay down with him for part of a nap! :) Some days, it seems that he is going to wake up after only about 20 minutes, but really it is just to rotate to another position on the couch before going out of it again. Thank goodness we have an ottoman! One of the big reasons we took this was not only to show how he takes his naps but also to say we think he looks a lot like Caleb, his cousin, when he is sleeping. Not sure exactly what it is, but Michael and I both think he resembles him when sleeping.

Well the pictures I guess say it all...Hunter loves oatmeal cereal so much that he wants to wear it! Actually we were feeding him the other night before we got him ready for bed, and he decided to fling his arms up and needless to say the bowl and spoon went up in the air and down on him. To make things worse, he then preceded to rub his face and eyes before we could get a washcloth to wash him off. So then we needed a picture! He wears it well! haha
Hunter wanted to show everyone how he is such a big boy now and can get off of the couch all by himself! He is so proud of himself when he gets down!

While in Fort Mill, we were testing out Hunter's chomping skills with the new teeth. I do think he is getting a little tired of the liquidy baby foods. So while in Fort Mill, Hunter tried cheese and grilled cheese for the first time! He was definitely not so sure of it at first and would rather test the texture of it by smearing it on the highchair instead, but then it grew on him and he loved it. He is now downing a grilled cheese when I fix it for him. He also tried a veggie mix and we found out he really likes peas, green beans, and of course his favorite - carrots with butter! :) He especially likes the sweet carrots from the Japanese restaurant in Seneca - Atami. While in Fort Mill he also tried a couple of other new foods but he wasn't quite sure about them - grits and a sweet potato. However, even though he wouldn't eat the real sweet potato, he is now loving sweet potato baby food. So I'll have to try the real thing again soon to see if he still prefers the baby food or the real thing. I am so glad we have found a few more things for Hunter to eat!

During the day, Hunter takes his nap on the couch. We did this because we found that he would not take a long nap at all if we put him in his crib during the day, but on the couch he sometimes will take 2 two hour naps. At first it scared me a little, but now I don't worry about it because he has learned to get down feet first by himself when he wakes up! But you will see in the pictures, I am glad we have an ottoman because he does move around in his sleep! :)
Well the two bottom teeth are finally through and we have a much better sleeper these days. I guess that will only last until the next ones come along! I thought I would post this picture, since it is much better view of the teeth now that Hunter will actually let us near his mouth to look!
Even though I didn't get many pictures this weekend, it was filled with fun with our family and friends! Hunter got to show off all of his new tricks he had learned this past week!! Friday night, Mimi and Great-Grandma Donald came down to spend the night with us and spend time with Hunter. Too bad Pops had to work. We missed him not being here! Saturday, Aunt Melissa came over to visit but Hunter played shy and wouldn't perform for her. Also Aunt Amy came over and stayed the evening and night. Daddy went to an event at the church, so Hunter, Mama, Mimi, and Amy hung out and had pizza. After it was over, Hunter's cousins Britt and Caleb, Uncle Josh and his dad- Tony, stopped by for a visit. That is when I got a picture of the cousins playing. Sunday morning, Mimi and Amy watched Hunter while Mama and Daddy went to Sunday School. We didn't think we should take Hunter because he had been coughing a lot and sneezing, which since then has turned into a nasty cold! :( After church, Mimi headed back to Fort Mill and we headed to Greenville for a Superbowl party with the Harringtons and Aunt Amy. Jenny and Chuck's new apartment looked great and felt very cozy! They had some great food and the game ended up being very exciting. Hunter lasted until half time but then slept through the rest. What a fun-filled packed weekend! Hunter had so much fun being spoiled, especially by his Mimi or I guess I should say "Nona" which he has now possibly renamed her! :)
Hunter and Mama went back for a check-up on his burned hand last Monday and got a great report! The doctor said in a couple of months, you will never even know he burned his hand! What a praise report! He is using his hand just as he did before and doesn't seem to have any pain at all! Thanks for everyone's prayers!
We were excited to hear at Hunter's nine month appointment that he can now have a new food - yogurt! We tried the vanilla kind first and he LOVES it! I definitely think it is his new favorite food!
