This Much Snow in Seneca, SC??

For the first time in a long time, we could bring out the sleds AT HOME, here in Seneca, SC!! Hunter was so excited!! We hadn't really talked too much about the snow, just in case it really didn't come, but this morning when he woke up I told him we had a surprise to show him. Before I could get the blinds all of the way open, he screamed..."SNOW!!!!!!!!" He was so excited and was running to the door ready to go out and play! Although it was a little too fluffy for sledding yet, Dada still pulled him up the street and hill and let him sled as best as he could. The more it got packed down, the better the sledding became. Hunter had a blast!!
Even his neighborhood friends, Joshua and Evie joined in for some fun in the snow!

Hunter and Dada each made their own snow angel in the front yard!

Mama and her boys!

Peyton really liked the snow as well! He hung out in the baby Bjorn the whole time but he smiled and made lots of noises while the snow was coming down on him. Although he and I didn't stay out too long, Peyton really seemed to enjoy watching the snow fall and his big brother and Dada playing and sledding!

Cute pic of Dada and Hunter before they hit the hills for sledding!

Thanks to our neighbors, we were able to get a family shot in front of our house with all of our snow. It was hard to measure, but I would guess we had about 8 inches of total snow.

And of course, Hunter got his wish and this is what we had for breakfast....SNOW CREAM!! Dada makes some great snow cream!

While waiting on Dada and Hunter to get back inside from playing in the snow, Peyton hung out in a couple of blankets on the floor watching a Baby Einstein trying to warm up from the cold! What a happy boy! What a happy family...just to wake up to a beautiful blanket of snow outside!

Christmas at Granny Ruby's

Here are a few pictures of the cousins at Granny Ruby's for Christmas. We tried since September to get everyone together but things kept coming up that almost seemed like we would never get them taken. Now I know why...we were supposed to have this gorgeous backdrop to take them in front of!! A foot of snow!

Even though Hunter insisted on making funny faces the whole time, I think this one with Granny Ruby turned out great!!

We ran out on the back porch as well to get some pictures as the snow was falling on us. I look forward to getting some of these printed and hung up!
Thanks to all of you for putting up with my emails and facebook messages for months trying to get these pics done! I appreciate it! Hopefully we will be able to do it again sometime soon with everyone.

Twins! haha

This is for Mimi and Pop - our twin preppy boys! :) Thanks to Mimi and Pop for these CUTE matching sweaters. We got a lot of compliments at church this morning! Even though they aren't really twins, it is still fun to dress them alike!
Brotherly Love!

Two Cute Boys!

Just to compare the boys at their first Clemson basketball game, above are pictures of Peyton and Hunter at their first Clemson basketball game. We have two excited TIGER fans! Keep reading below to find out about Peyton's first visit to Littlejohn!

Peyton's First Visit to Littlejohn!

We had been wanting to take Peyton to his first Clemson basketball game but was unsure of how he would do. So yesterday we decided it was time to try it out. We got Hunter's Clemson overalls and hat he had worn at Peyton's age and got everyone ready for the game. This was the first time Peyton had worn a ball hat and he really didn't seem to mind it either!

Both boys dressed and ready for the game. Go Tigers!

This is how Peyton sat for the first ten minutes of the game - in the baby Bjorn. I think it helped staying close to me to get him use to the sounds and people all around.

We were excited because it was Clemson's first ACC game. They played Miami.

It didn't take long for him to want to get out and turn around to watch the game. He did GREAT!! He was so amazed at all of the movement, people, and sounds.
It was pretty much impossible to get both boys turned around looking at the camera without getting in someone's way to get a cute picture of the two of them.

Even as we got ready to head home after an exciting Clemson WIN, Peyton was still all smiles. He was so good that I hope to take him back to some more games! He just sat and grinned from ear to ear the whole game. What a great time we had taking Peyton to his first game. Afterward Hunter said, "I had a great time!" We hope to see our tigers play again soon!

Now I Know Why They Eat Food!

After four attempts of rice cereal, we ventured on to a new food...banana oatmeal and boy was Peyton glad. Even with the fourth attempt of rice cereal, he still was spitting all if not more out of his mouth than was going in and making a TERRIBLE face! So tonight we tried oatmeal and as you can see from the picture, he LOVED it!! He still made a strange face as it was going in (which I am sure was a texture thing), but he swallowed every bit of it and ate every bit that we fixed for him! I guess he is going to be like his big brother and love banana oatmeal as well.
He also enjoys his new toy - a spoon! He would prefer for us to just let him feed himself I do believe! I can't believe our little guy is growing up and eating big boy food now! Time is flying by!

Peyton Gets to Deposit his First Money!

Like Hunter did as a baby, Peyton got to visit Wachovia and open a savings account! It was a little too cold to get him out of the carseat for a picture, so Dada just held him up so we could get a picture of him with the Wachovia sign the background. I'm not sure he was so excited or even came close to understanding why we were hanging him in the air for a picture in his carseat.

Brothers!

Peyton's First Taste of Food

Tonight Peyton experienced two firsts...sitting in his high chair for the first time and trying food other than milk - rice cereal. He turned five months old on the 27th of December and so we thought it was about time to try it out. To tell you the truth, I was excited to see him try food but actually wasn't looking forward to the messes to come! Also I can remember trying rice cereal with Hunter and it being a disaster. Hunter spit out as much or more than actually went into his mouth. He was definitely not a rice cereal boy but he could down some banana oatmeal! So here is a recap of the events of the night...

Peyton was so excited about his new seat! He grinned from ear to ear as soon as we sat him in it! But...
this was the face we received from the first bite of cereal to the last! I really do think he swallowed a little bit of it and he would continue to open to let me put more in his mouth. I think he had more fun reaching for the spoon than anything! Oh well we will try it again tomorrow! Our little boy is growing up too fast!
