Atlanta with the Jenkin's Family!
A couple of weeks ago we were invited to go to Atlanta, GA with our friends Michael, Jessica, and Oliver! They had gotten a few Atlanta Braves tickets and asked us to go with them! Since Hunter or Peyton had never been to a game we thought it would be fun to take them along with us! They were bringing their 4 month old Oliver along, so I thought Hunter and Peyton would like being there too!
Peyton and Hunter liked the big baseballs outside the gates and so each family took a pic beside them. Peyton was too interested in the "baaalllllll..." to get his attention for a picture!
We tried to get Hunter's picture with the Turner Field sign in the background and being on Dada's head was the easiest way to get it!
Peyton must have thought his dreams had come true and we were in Disney World as we entered the park and found this! He was the first to point it out and of course we had to get a picture in front of it for him and Hunter!
Although it was Peyton's bedtime before the game even began, both boys did good and even lasted through the whole game. We had some great seats and really enjoyed spending time with our friends! It may have been a little long for Hunter since half way through he began asking for Dada's cell phone to play games on but he will tell you to this day his favorite part was after the game - the FIREWORKS!! Not the part that the Braves won or the part that we got to see Chipper Jones hit a homerun but instead the fireworks! Which I do agree, they were great but the game was great too! Michael and Jessica's little guy Oliver did awesome and even slept for a good bit of the game! He was so cute in his little baseball shirt!
Instead of trying to drive home at 11:00 at night, our friends had some Marriott points and were able to get us a hotel in downtown Atlanta for the night. Although Peyton didn't go to sleep too good, we had fun hanging out and being in such a nice hotel! Thanks for a fun trip Jenkin's Family!
A New Buddy!
When school began back for Oconee County teachers, I started keeping our friends - Amanda and Erik's sweet little girl Rebekah! She is about 4 months older than Peyton but both Peyton and Hunter love her to death! It has been so much fun for the three of them to all be buddies and be able to play together some during the week! Although she wears her cute little dresses and brings her baby doll, she is learning a lot about cars, blocks, balls, and so many more boy things! I do have to say that Peyton has enjoyed loving on her baby though too! :) We are having a lot of fun and look forward to having a buddy over to play a few days a week for this school year!
Bowling Mondays!
Dada's group of people that he works with has begun getting together each Monday evening to go bowling. Hunter was very excited because he had never been bowling except on the Wii (which he loves to play)! He had the bumpers on the side but he did get close to 80 on his first time. He can't wait to go again! Although Peyton did not actually get to bowl, he enjoyed saying "ball" over and over again! He got so excited each time we would let him touch the bowling ball.
I had forgotten how fun it was to go bowling since we haven't been in so long, but believe it or not, Michael and I's first date was at that same bowling alley! Things sure have changed since then! haha....we could actually see what we were doing because smoking is no longer allowed and it has gotten so high tech that we didn't all have to bowl with bumpers but instead it knew to just come up when Hunter was bowling! I hope they continue bowling each Monday and we can go back a few times. I know Hunter would love that!
