Chef Hunter

The week of Hunter's 3rd birthday party, he received a package in the mail. It was a chef's outfit from Mimi and Pop! Even though Hunter is an outside, ball playing boy, he LOVES to help cook in the kitchen. He is always asking to help out when we are cooking. He was so happy to have an outfit to wear in the kitchen! Maybe he is going to be the next Emeril! :)
Hunter even helped make his own birthday cake and cupcakes!

A Few Random Pics...

Oh what fun a cardboard box can be! Dada got a piece of photo equipment that happened to come in a great box for playing inside. It's amazing how entertaining a cardboard box can be for hours!
One afternoon a couple of weeks ago, we hung out with our friends the Callaways at their house and then headed to Clemson for yogurt at a great new place called 3 Spoons. It is a VERY yummy place that they introduced us to and have been several times since then! Thanks Callaway family for a great afternoon with great friends! Hunter always has a good time with his friends Ellie and Carsen!

I found Hunter one day teaching his little brother how to play Nickjr. online!

Hunter is holding his cupcake that he is "so proud" of. That is a cute phrase he likes to use now. He likes people to be "so proud" of him or of certain things that he does. For example, we were trying out some cupcakes and seeing if we could make them rainbow and he is holding it up to show the camera that we were able to do it! We wanted to have a trial run so we could do it again for his birthday cupcakes if it worked. It was such a neat idea that I can't believe I haven't seen it done before. Instead of coloring the icing, we just did that to the cake batter before we actually cooked them! They turned out great!

Springtime has Arrived

With springtime arriving and the weather turning warmer, it has been great for our family to get outdoors. In fact, most days Hunter does NOT want to go back inside at all. He is definitely all boy and would rather hunt for bugs, play ball, shoot waterguns, and even plant and water his new flowers with Mimi than be indoors.

We also took Peyton to his first Clemson baseball game with Aunt Amy and Mimi. We sat in the outfield which made it a little difficult for Hunter to get into the game. We did however get to move closer to behind home plate when there was a rain delay and several people left, Peyton and Mimi included. It was a little too late of a night for Peyton after the rain delay, but you can see from the pictures he sure did enjoy being outdoors and somewhere new!

Baby Caleb

Last month, our friends Chuck and Jenny had their second boy named Caleb! We were so excited that they were able to celebrate having two boys, just like us! Since Caleb was born in Greenville, we were able to stay with Aunt Amy and go back and forth to the hospital. I'm glad we were able to be there for them and get to see that sweet 9 pound 5 ounce little guy! What a cutie!
A week or so later, we were given the opportunity to take some newborn pics of Caleb. He did a great job and we got some super cute pictures of the new family of four! We look forward to our boys growing up to be good friends with their two boys!

No Cavity Club

Hunter's First Dentist Visit
Based on recommendations from our dentist and our pediatrician, we thought it was time to take Hunter for his first dental checkup. I was a little nervous and was not sure how he would do, but when a new pediatric dentist built an office in Seneca, I felt much better about taking him. We went there not really knowing too much about the dentist, but was VERY pleased and look forward to many more visits there in the future. The dentist is a younger lady named Dr. Horton, the same as a Dr. Seuss movie/character. The office was really neat how they had decorated everything in a Dr. Seuss theme. The waiting room even had free video and arcade games for the kids to play. When Hunter was taken back to have his teeth cleaned, they pretended that he was going into space in his "spaceship" aka the chair he sat in. The staff was great and Hunter even made the "NO Cavity Club" which allowed him to get a tooth coin for a huge vending machine, which of course he loved!
