Our Little Snow
While in Franklin, we were soooo blessed to have enjoyed about 12-16 inches of snow!!! It was soooo beautiful and we didn't want to leave it, especially Hunter. It will definitely be a Christmas to remember. I am so glad that we can look back and say that it happened on Peyton's First Christmas!!! What a great way to experience Christmas - enjoying what God created for us! We will always remember it!
When we got back to Seneca, surprisingly we did have about 2-3 inches of snow here as well! It had begun to melt, but Hunter was still at least able to sit on the sled and have us pull him around on it. He was excited to see some snow, even if it wasn't over a foot of it! In fact, it stayed around long enough to enjoy it a few days. Dada even made us some more great snowcream for breakfast one morning!!! What a great 2010 Christmas!!
A Dream Come True....
After we had our doughnuts in Seneca, we packed up and headed to Franklin, NC where we ran into snow beginning to fall! It was like a Christmas Dream coming true!! We made it okay but I am glad we didn't wait to come any later. We first went to Granny Ruby's house where we took some cute cousins pictures which I will post as soon as they are edited. We also had a great lunch there and enjoyed time together with family! We just wish Pop could have been there with us!! At least we got to see him Christmas morning before we left Seneca!
After dinner with Granny Ruby and family and a few games of "Minute to Win It!" we headed to the Bowman house. It was a little tricky ride, especially up their road, but we made it safe and sound! We wasted no time getting out and playing in the snow. Hunter was begging to go out and play and I was all for it!
Before the gorgeous snow pictures, I have posted a couple of the boys opening their gifts from Nana, Papaw, Granny Moretz, Britt, Caleb, Josh, and Amanda. They got some great gifts, way too many to name!!!

This is the sled that Mimi and Pop had bought for Hunter in hopes that it would snow the weekend before when we were in Fort Mill. We had no idea at that time how much snow we would actually be able to use it with on Christmas!!! Even though Peyton did not come out and play and he stayed inside with Nana and Granny, we had to get him out there for a few pictures!!
Everyone wanted pictures in front of this tree! Even though we couldn't get Hunter to put the snowball down he was eating to smile! He LOVED eating the snow!!
Even though my hat is falling off, I thought this was really good picture of the three of us relaxing in the snow!
That's when he found out that if he went by himself, the snow would not blow up in his face because he bared weighed enough to go on top of the snow. He loved sledding and did not want to leave the snow to come back to Seneca!

Before heading back to Seneca the day after Christmas, Nana made us some WONDERFUL snow cream!! I had never had any and neither had Hunter. It tasted even better than homemade icecream!

Christmas Eve
Since we have been married, we have made it a goal with our family to stay home Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. So far it has worked out great and we have really been able to spend some great time together as a family. One Christmas Eve we order pizza, make cookies for Santa, and this year we started a new thing....
Mimi gave Hunter and Peyton some reindeer food! Her class at school had made it and she saved a couple of bags for them. Hunter took the reindeer food out of the baggie and sprinkled it in the yard for the reindeer. It had some food and glitter. The glitter was to help Rudolph find the glitter in the dark!
Once pajamas were on and we were ready for bed, we made cookies and milk for Santa. This year Hunter was convinced that Santa needed chocolate milk, just like he loves. He even had to sample it to make sure Santa would like it! Sorry Santa for any germs you got! :)
Pizza eaten, reindeer food sprinkled on the ground, cookies made, chocolate milk made, pjs on, time for bed so Santa can come!

Franklin Christmas Pics
Like last year, we tried to get a few pictures in Franklin of our family and the cousins for Christmas cards and gifts. I never knew how hard it would be to get a 2 year old and a 4 month baby to smile at the camera or just to look at the camera!
These are a couple of the cousins pictures that we took. Nana had gotten them all matching shirts to have the pictures taken in.
Christmas is in the Air!
Just like we did with Hunter, we took a few pictures of Peyton in Hunter's old baby Santa outfit. It was a little too big but still made for some very cute pictures!
Although we seem to pick not so great weather days to get a tree, it is always a fun adventure to the top of the mountain each year. This year we knew we wanted a little bigger tree. When standing on the side of a mountain it sure looks a lot smaller than when you get it in your living room though! It was gorgeous though and well worth the rainy trip up the mountain to search for it!
At the beginning of December, we had a wedding in Franklin, the same day in which Franklin has its annual Winter Wonderland. Michael and I stopped by on our way back to the Bowman residence on the night of Dec. 3rd and had our picture with the Grinch and Frosty. Hunter really likes to look at this picture a lot!
