Hunter's First Day of School!

September 13th was Hunter's first day of school!! I definitely had no idea we would send our big boy to school yet, but we had a little change of plans. Hunter had begun having some major separation anxiety problems and several people suggested preschool. Finally after a little bit of research and some great recommendations, we decided to try it out.

This was Hunter's first day. Both Peyton and Rebekah were sad to see their buddy leave them but they are adjusting to helping us get Hunter to and from school.

When we arrived at school, Hunter was concerned why it said "preschool" instead of "school" on the sign. After some explanation, he is now quick to tell anyone, "It's not school, it's preschool!" Although he was very excited on the three minute ride to school, he was not so sure when he got to the building and had to go in.
He has now adjusted to preschool quite nicely and enjoys going each Tuesday and Thursday for half a day. He tells us about his friends, painting, coloring, snacks, puzzles, and even comes home with homework occasionally! This is one of his projects he has completed. He did an "All About Me" poster and each week they have a kid of the week. One week soon, he will get to share his poster with his classmates. Let's hope he remembers it like he did the night after he completed it!
