The Top of the Mountain

We took our second stop on the day trip at the top of the Smoky Mountains. For those of you that do not know, this is the border between North Carolina and Tennessee. Hunter just stared in amazement!
The trees were turning and were beautiful! If you look closely you can see the road that we traveled on to get to the top. There were so many people out to look at the leaves. I can only imagine the traffic and people in about two more weeks when it will be the best time to see the leaves.
And of course since it was Hunter's six month birthday, we had to get a several pictures along the way. Plus this was his first trip to the Mountains of Tennessee!
Hunter just loves being barefoot and one of his things he enjoys doing with his feet is exactly what you see in the picture above.

He was not quite sure about the leaves beneath his feet. He just kept feeling them and crunching them with his feet.

As you can see from this picture and several others, the most vibrant color for leaves by far was yellow. Hunter enjoyed being thrown up in the air by his Daddy!
