Many of you may have wondered...what happened to the Bowmans...why haven't they been updating their blog. Well the answer is not so simple other than, we can not count on our own plans in life, but rather trust that God has His own timing and plans for our lives. I have definitely learned that over the last couple of months. For those of you that may not be so close to know what has gone on, I ended up in the hospital on June 22nd for an eleven day stay and then I made several more trips to the hospital before it all came to end on July 27th - what a great day!!! It was a frightening trip in June, talking to the NICU doctor about possibly having a preemie and the problems that could occur, getting steroid shots to help improve Peyton's lung development, and finally being sent home on bedrest and attached to a Brethine pump. Talk about learning to trust in God and prayers! And sure enough it all paid off because after 5 weeks of contractions and so many trips to the hospital later, Peyton was born at 37 weeks on July 27th at 9:37am. He weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 inches long and totally healthy. What a blessing and it was worth it all as soon as I saw and held him!!
Not only did I learn to trust God and not worry about every little thing we were going through, but I also learned what incredible family and friends we have! I can never thank everyone enough for what they have done for me and my family! I am truly blessed! Thanks Michael for being there with me for every second of the process! I couldn't ask for a better husband and best friend! Thank you Mimi for spending your entire summer away from home and Pop to take care of us! All four of us are really going to miss you!! There are so many others I could list, but just know that I appreciate all of your help and prayers!
