Beach Trip with the Bowmans - 2009

Since many of you have been checking the blog daily, you will know that I have been procrastinating putting pictures up. I think it has something to do with the 1,035 pictures in which I had to look through and choose to place on the blog. I'm not complaining though because it is so nice to have a husband who is a photographer and also nice for each of us to own our own little digital camera as well. So between all of the cameras, plus a few pictures from others, we have had some pictures taken lately. The majority of the pictures are beach trip pictures, but I have tried to narrow down the 1,000 pics to just a few. We had a great time and for the first time in a while got to stay a whole week so of course Hunter did so many cute things we just had to take pictures! We are ready to go back already! This was Sunday, our first trip out to the beach and our little beach boy is ready to go!
Thanks to a suggest from a neighbor, we took Hunter a tent and a pool to the beach. It was great since we were so worried about our little man getting burned and getting so hot. They were both great! The first day we were a little worried that it would be a miserable week. Hunter didn't want to be put down in the sand or the water. He hated them both! It wasn't until he fell down in the sand that he began to love it! Then Daddy took him swimming in the waves and he became a water boy as well!Boy are we glad we chose the name Hunter for him. There is just something magical everytime he sees his name. He really enjoyed seeing his "H" written on the beach. He examined it for quite a while!

Hunter even caught his first fish...I guess with a little help from Mama!

My boys!! How cute - hand in a hand walking down to the water to get water for Hunter's pool!
We all helped build a sandcastle. The only problem with building it was that Hunter wanted to knock it down quicker than we built it! To fix the problem, we built a moat around the castle so Hunter couldn't get to it. When we were packing up our stuff for the day, we let Hunter destroy it. That really made his day!

Just a few random pics of us at the beach...

Hunter with his cousins Britt and Caleb (which to Hunter is also known as Britt and Britt!)

Hunter really enjoyed chasing the birds. He thought it was great when Britt and Caleb would throw crackers to them to make them all come around our tent.

We bought Bocce Ball to play on the beach but I guess you can imagine how that went with a one year old who loves balls!

Another one of Hunter's buddies for the week - Aunt Amanda or Aunt "U- man" as Hunter says it!
All three of our hand prints! It's sad that Mama's looks closer to Hunter's size!
This is how use to the sand Hunter became by the end of the week!
And we finally got smart and had him wear his sunglasses so he wasn't crying every day when he got sand in his eyes! He did a great face plant this day!
A family picture off of the back of our beach house
This is where you could find Hunter and Daddy most days after lunch - the porch swing on the back porch! How cute!!
While in Myrtle Beach one afternoon, we tried out a new putt-putt course - Molten Mountain. They have two courses, an indoor one and an outdoor one! It was great for such a hot day outside. Even Hunter enjoyed swinging his golf "stick" and playing. Daddy was a good golf coach!
Wednesday night we all went to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans baseball game. We try to make it to a game each year. We sat Hunter on the dugout for a pic before the game. He did a great job to sit for almost 4 hours! It was a lot of fun and even Britt and Caleb got to go down to the field and play games in front of the crowd!
While at the baseball game, he learned to "WHOO HOO" for the players! He is getting ready to cheer on the Tigers this fall!

Below are a few pictures that Michael took one night on the beach of the white/blue jean gang! haha. Too bad it got dark early from stormy weather or we could have done so many more pictures. I think they turned out great and I'll definitely have to get some printed for the walls at home!
Nana and her boys!

What cute pics of the cousins!

Our little ham!
The kiddies and grandkiddies - Josh, Britt, Amanda, Caleb, Hunter, Mama, Daddy

Our Family of 3...

My favorite family pic - us under the dock!

I had to get one pic with my little guy!
