Happy 3rd Birthday Hunter James! What a big boy we have now! I can't believe that he is already three years old! On his 3 year appointment he was 34 1/2 pounds and 39 1/8 inches tall. This put him about 75% in both categories. He just really seems to be growing so much within these last few months!
After some researching and ideas from Hunter, we decided to have a Toy Story themed party this year. He is really into Toy Story 2 and since the newest Toy Story 3 movie was just out, there were plenty of decorations for this theme. He has seen the third movie but it is bad when a 3 year old asks you to cut a movie off because it is too scary. So we just have stuck to Toy Story 2 around the Bowman house.
Like the last two years, we had his party at our church, Utica Baptist, where he could run around and have fun and a perfect place to set up for a party. We decorated cupcakes and Dada decorated a Buzz Lightyear cake.
We attempted to get a family picture in front of the food and decoration but there were too many distractions and cameras to get everyone to look at the same one at the same time! Both boys had Toy Story shirts to wear for the party.
Mama and Dada waited until his birthday a couple of days later to give him our present. We figured he needed something to open on his birthday. He was so excited because he had been wanting a remote control car! He was really good at it because it was just two simple buttons, forwards and backwards, and the car can even flip over and keep driving. Peyton got Hunter a present he had been wanting as well...a jump rope! Although he can't really jump yet, I'm sure he will get the hang of it soon.
