Hunter's First Playdate with Bethany and Braylon

Hunter and his friend, Braylon, meet for the first time. They immediately hit it off! They both have something in common - they are both good spitters! Thank goodness for burp clothes! :) Braylon was so cute kicking his feet as fast as he could while trying to hold Hunter's hand. Hunter enjoyed Braylon's visit and can't wait to play with him again, especially when they are both able to crawl around and do what they want on their own!

Braylon and Hunter's moms both agreed that they have had way too many pictures to both know to look at the camera and smile. We tried so many times to get a picture of them playing together, but each time they saw the camera, they wanted to smile for the picture instead! We'll have to invite Braylon and Bethany over more often!

Daddy...look what Mama did to me!

WHAT? Where or when did he get sunburned? Hunter and Mama went to the pool with friends - Lindsey and Jacob, Danielle and Emily, Rebecca, Sam and Troy, and Cindy on Tuesday. But no one can figure out how Hunter got sunburned because he was sleeping the whole time in the shade with Troy. Neither one of them ever got in the pool or the sun, but somehow Hunter got sunburned! I can only imagine the sun he is going to get when we go to the beach this weekend!

Bedtime Story

Hunter and Mama enjoy a story before bedtime. So far we think his favorite book is the Poky Little Puppy! I'm so glad he finally will pay attention to the book instead of trying to look around the book at the tv instead! Maybe there is hope that he will like reading more than his Daddy! :)

Baby Einstein Jumper

Hunter has really enjoyed his new Baby Einstein jumper activity set. He has almost figured out what to do with his hands to get the frog to turn around. If only he could figure out how to do it without getting frustrated, I think he would enjoy the new toy even more!


When he turns around to the back, a sunshine smiles at Hunter at eye-level. He thinks it is great that it is just right in front of him smiling so big!

Cousin Britt and Caleb's Swimming Pool Party

Daddy got in the pool with Hunter! Mama thought it was too cold and rainy to get in, so she sat on the side of the pool. Hunter seemed to enjoy it until the rain began to get heavier and he felt it on his head - then it was time to get out!

Hunter's cousin Caleb turned 6 on July 6th! He had fun chasing all of the kids and teenagers around the pool. Both he and Britt got Trek bikes for their birthday, so Hunter gave them bike locks so they can take their bikes camping and feel safe about leaving them there.

Hunter's cousin Britt turned 9 on July 8th! He had fun throwing the spongy water balls around to his dad and friends. The party was great! We all had cake and ice cream!

When Hunter was finished swimming and he had on his dry clothes, Nana and Papaw held him and put him to sleep. Swimming always tires him out!

Trip to Fort Mill

Hunter and Mama took their first solo road trip without Dad. It was fun but we really missed Daddy going with us! Of course, Mimi and Pops were excited that Hunter came to stay a couple of days and try out his new room. He has his own crib, mobile, diapers, wipes, towels, washclothes, children's books, lamp, and so much more! Talk about spoiled! :)

While visiting Mimi and Pops, Hunter went swimming in his new swimming outfit. Just as before, he liked the pool but wasn't so excited about the getting out and getting cold part. It was a hot day, so Hunter only swam a little and then stayed in the shade with Mimi while Mama got to swim a few laps.

Preppy Boy

This past Sunday, Hunter wore his "preppy" Old Navy outfit to get his picture in his crib. We were celebrating a milestone - Hunter has learned to laugh! He thinks when we touch his toes to his nose, it is hilarious! What a cutie with those dimples!!! These are definitely some pictures you will see in frames on the wall!

Space Camp

On the way home from Alabama, we stopped in Huntsville, AL to see the spaceships at the US Space Camp Center. We got to see the huge Saturn V replica and a spaceship that had actually been to outerspace, but as usual Hunter slept through it all. Who knows...maybe we will bring Hunter back here one day to go to Space Camp to become astronaut Bowman! :)

A Big Bathtub

We divided up the Alabama trip and stayed south of Atlanta on Friday night. There Hunter got to get in a pool for the first time! We knew he liked his baths, so we were hoping he liked the pool as well. Sure enough, he did great! I am sure he was thinking, "What a huge bathtub!" We can't wait for him to go swimming again!

Trip to Alabama

The Bowman family has been busy with weddings this summer! We (Michael, Heidi, Hunter, and Mimi) just recently took a trip to Athens, Alabama to a wedding. We went to see Michael's friend, Richard Lockleer get married. Michael had worked with him at Drakes in Franklin, NC. Mimi went with us to take care of Hunter while we went to the wedding! The wedding was very pretty and unique all at the same time.
