What a Surprise!

On the way back from Pigeon Forge, TN, we got a big surprise....ELK!!! We rounded one of the last curves coming over the mountain before we got into Cherokee and saw about 20 elk standing on the side of the road! We pulled off the side of the road along with all of the other 20 cars! It was so amazing how close everyone was to these wild animals!! It was like they didn't even care we were there. Hunter was in awe, along with everyone else! Maybe we'll get lucky some other time and get to see them again!

Off To Dollywood with Nana and "Bitt"

On Saturday, we headed over the mountains to Dollywood with Nana and "Bitt" (Britt). We were hoping Caleb would go with us, but he decided to stay home and work with his Daddy. We did miss him, but we had a great time!
Hunter just loves the cars that he can drive! It's always so hard to get a good picture while he is driving, so we had Britt and Hunter pose in a parked car instead!

This was our attempt of Dada holding out the camera to get our picture while we were on the ferris wheel.
Hunter seemed to enjoy it even though his facial expression may not look like it.
Britt was brave and turned around for the picture! Nana was not quite as excited about getting her picture taken like that!
Hunter and Daddy went fishing! Hunter caught a fish and got to choose a Dollywood bear to keep, however he wanted to take the fish and fishing pole instead!

It was great to have Britt with us. He fit much better in the kiddie rides than I do! Plus Hunter really enjoyed Britt riding with him.
It was hard to get Hunter to look at us for a picture. He was way too interested in the duck instead!
I really like this picture of Britt - cool and relaxed! :) He kept talking about he just LOVED to go on these kiddie rides, however deep down I know he enjoyed getting Hunter on and off of the ride all by himself and taking him on rides with him because I would volunteer to take Hunter and he would say, "No, I don't mind." He did so good with Hunter!

Britt had to entertain Hunter a little on the pigs. We should have done this ride first because it didn't go up in the air like the bee or play music with a button like the duck. It just went around in a circle, but Hunter still enjoyed it!

When we went to the Carousel, we let Hunter choose which horse or animal he wanted to ride and so he chose the "er, er, er, er, errrrr" - the rooster! What a fun day at Dollywood! We can't wait to go back!!

Hunter with his Great-Grannys!

While in Franklin for the couple of days, we went to see both of Hunter's Great-Grannys. It was great to be able to get a picture of Hunter with them both. He was so happy to be sitting with them! He has now learned to say "Grangee" and it is so cute! How fortunate we are to have such great families!!

Hunter Checks out His Big Boy Bed...

Last time we went up to Franklin to spend the night with Nana and Papaw, Hunter had a new bed to sleep in....a BIG BOY bed!! It was really nice and he had to check it out as soon as we got there. He did okay in it that night until about 3:00 in the morning when we heard a thud as he had wiggled down to the opening and had fallen out of the bed! Maybe we shouldn't run out and get him his new big boy bed for home yet but it was great to be able to try it out and Nana and Papaw's house. Thanks and we'll definitely try it again next time!

Mimi's Boy!

Mimi came to stay a few weeks ago with Hunter while Mama and Daddy photographed a wedding. Sunday morning we got up to get ready for church and we took a few pictures of Hunter with Mimi before she left to go back home. What a great picture of them!

Visiting With Friends

A few weeks ago, Daddy took pictures of Hunter's friend Kherington. After the pictures, they came back to play and eat pizza with us. Hunter had fun hanging out with his friend!

He even showed Kherington how his Lightning McQueen car works. They played great together and we'll have to invite Kherington over more often!

The next day, Hunter and Mama went to Greenville to visit and hang out with Jenny and Cai! Cai is growing so much! He is a cutie!!

Yummy....PLAYDOUGH! :)

Two weeks ago, Hunter and I made playdough! He really likes playing with it and actually likes trying to eat it each time as well. I'm not sure why he continues to try it because he coughs and spits it up everytime! Oh well maybe one day he'll learn. His favorite thing to make with the playdough of course is any kind of ball!

Painting Adventure!

I have been letting him have "art" time some days. He really enjoys painting with water colors, both on paper and on himself or anywhere he can. Since we have carpet throughout our house except for the kitchen, I have been letting him paint while in his highchair in the kitchen. He loves it! We do however need to get some more paint because all of the paint colors are now brown or black! He likes to mix colors! :)

So far, all throwing, writing, and now painting all points towards a right-hander, thank goodness! I wouldn't know how to help a lefty!

Like I said, he likes to paint everything these days!

This is who Hunter was painting for that day....his buddies..."EEELLLLLIIIIEEEEEE" (Ellie) and "CARCON" (Carsen). They are our sweet neighbors that Hunter loves so much! Everytime someone knocks on the door, he automatically assumes it is them. It is so cute!

Micaiah Davis Harrington Arrives!

Around 9:45pm Friday, July 31, Micaiah (Cai) Davis Harrington was born! We had been waiting in anticipation all day! He was so cute! He weighed 7 pounds 12 ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long! What a cutie!!!

I love the tongue sticking out!

Saturday morning Hunter came to the hospital and got to meet his new friend, Cai! He didn't know what to think. He just kept saying Cai and then he would say baby! When Michael held him and Cai, Hunter barely touched his face and just started smiling and clapping! How sweet! I'm sure Hunter will teach Cai a lot over the next few years...hopefully it will all be good things! :)
Me holding Cai for the first time!

He looked so small in Michael's arms...Hunter was never that little!

Amy and Mimi came with us also to see and meet Cai for the first time! Everyone was so happy that he was finally here! I'll make sure to post some more pics of Cai and his family soon!
For that moment, Hunter was excited to see Mimi holding Cai. Hopefully he will not become too jealous in the future! haha
Hunter was so sweet and careful with Cai. It's amazing how gentle he knew he needed to be!

Waiting in Anticipation...

Two weeks ago today, we were hanging out at Greenville Memorial Hospital waiting on Hunter's new buddy, Cai Harrington to be born. Above are some pictures that were taken in the hospital while waiting to meet his new buddy! As you can see in the last picture, Hunter got a little crazy in the waiting room!

Hunter and his Great - Grannys!

A couple of weeks ago, Hunter went and visited his Great-Grannys! It makes it much easier to see them now that they both live in Franklin! Hunter loves spending time with them!

Hunter was Granny Ruby's lap buddy for quite a while when she shared her cereal snack with him. Anyone willing to give him a snack definitely becomes his new buddy!

Then Hunter visited his other Great-Granny, Granny Moretz. It was her birthday and Hunter wanted to wish her a great 81st birthday! Once Granny Moretz gets finished with her physical therapy, she has told Hunter that she is coming to stay with him a few days!

While in Franklin, he also was able to hang out with his Nana and Papaw and cousins! Above is Hunter and Caleb or "Laleb" as Hunter says. Hunter enjoyed Caleb getting down on his level to play with him!

Bops (Pops) Boy...

Although you may not be able to see what is on the fork in all of the pictures above where Hunter is super excited, it has been dipped each time in ketchup! This boy loves ketchup. He definitely gets this from his "Bop"! When we go to chickfila or anywhere, he would enjoy eating just ketchup and nothing else! If you try to feed him meat or fries, all they are used for is a dipping stick for the ketchup! I like ketchup, but that is just a little much!

Neigh! Neigh!

Not exactly the best picture, since #1 - Hunter was afraid of the baby horse and #2 - our camera batteries died after the first picture! For those of you who have come to our house, you know what I mean by the "crazy animal house." Well down at the crazy animal house, they now have a new baby miniature horse! We knew it was the tiniest baby horse we had ever seen but soon learned that it was a miniature horse. The owners seem to enjoy visitors stopping by, so one Saturday afternoon we stopped and let Hunter out to meet the baby horse. The owner actually came out and let us in the cage to pet him! He was very sweet but wanted to come very close and lick you. Hunter was not so sure of that. Probably the best part of this whole trip was that Hunter was more interested in the cat and rooster in the fence than the baby horse! He does however say "neigh" everytime we pass it now. At least Mama and Dada really enjoyed petting and seeing a horse that tiny!

Hat!

A couple of weeks ago, we met a couple at Dairy Queen in Pendleton to give them their wedding pictures. Since we were meeting there, we decided we couldn't pass up a chance for ice cream. When we went in, we found that they sold miniature major league baseball hats with ice cream in them for kids. I didn't even know they still made those. Hunter had his vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup in his proud new hat! He was ready to finish the ice cream quickly so he could model his new hat! Not only does his new hat serve as a hat, but it also has become a glove for some of his small balls!

A 16 month old Hooked on Wii

For a few weeks, we borrowed Mimi and Pops Wii and games. Mama and Dada thought it was great and we would use it a lot. What we soon realized was that a 16 month old can quickly become addicted to Wii! While it was great to be able to play and get some exercise at the same time, we soon looked forward to getting the Wii back to Mimi and Pops, especially when Hunter realized that his tv remote was not doing the same thing as Mama and Dada's Wii remote!

Hunter's favorite game was "bae" ball!

He even figured out the buttons on the tv that changed the input so he could play!

He and Pops had their own Wii tournament against each other!

Can you tell his boy enjoyed his time with the Wii?
